When I released the ball that day, it was way off to the right and I was just trying to chase it down.”

Playing in his first NBA Finals game, Larry Bird made his presence felt everywhere on the court, with 18 points, 9 assists, and 21 rebounds – none more memorable than this one offensive board – en route to a Celtics win and his first NBA championship. Limited to just /33, this Moment also carries Larry Bird’s authenticated and verified autograph.

THREE-POINT CONTEST

Larry Bird won his first of three straight three-point contests and famously sized up his fellow competitors in the locker room and asked which of them would be coming in second place. He even banked in one off the glass for good measure.

CELTICS VS. TRAIL BLAZERS

With the Boston Celtics having won 18 of their past 20 games, Larry Bird decided to try something new in a way only he could. He scored 20 of his game-high 47 points with his left hand — he shot 21 of 34 for the game and connected on all three of his 3-pointers while adding 14 rebounds and 11 assists.
